Mitchell J. Hoffman is a Board Certified Family Law Specialist with 45 years of experience handling family law and other civil matters. He has significant experience in all areas of family law including community property issues, prenuptial and post nuptial agreements, partitions and resolution of marital claims. In addition to family law matters, his practice includes insurance defense, commercial, civil and general litigation, corporate and business law. He provides business advice to corporate and commercial clients on formation and planning issues, mergers and acquisitions, and banking matters. He has extensive trial experience in cases before state and federal courts, mediation and arbitration panels, administrative agencies and boards, and specialized courts and forums.
Mr. Hoffman earned his undergraduate and law degrees at Tulane University, and during law school, served on the board of editors of the Tulane Law Review. He was also selected to the Order of the Coif, the highest honor a law student can receive. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Louisiana, various federal Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Hoffman’s professional association memberships include the Louisiana State, American Bar Associations, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and the Louisiana Association of Justice.
